The Director of Missions, Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi has said man lost his original state due to sin and this created separation and enmity between God and mankind. However, by virtue of Christ's death and resurrection, God had brought lasting solutions to all the complexities of mankind.

He therefore noted that the message of the cross is the message of life, adding that the cross of Christ is the centre or central point for mankind's existence on earth after the fall of the first Adam.

Pastor Fasuyi who noted this in his Easter Message titled "The Message of the Cross" with the text taken from 1st Corinthians chapter 1 verses 17 to 18 said we became members of God's family and experienced God's incomparable love through the cross.

According to him, part of the benefits of the cross is that it is a bridge that created access to man from the lost to the place of happiness and a better life both here on earth.

"Through the cross those who turned to Him sincerely and genuinely are delivered from the penalty and power of sin. Everyone can enjoy the benefits that the cross brought to mankind by surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ today. And for those that have already accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour they can continue  to enjoy more of these benefits by remaining in Him, the Cleric concluded.

  1. Thank you sir, how much I'm always happy hearing the cross been preached. The message of the cross is what the world need, for that will save them and deliver them. The cross is neither complicated nor difficult, but simple and powerful to set men free and save them.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish; foolishness but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:17-18)

May we live to enjoy the full benefits and provisions embedded in the cross.
