The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi has told ministers' wives that homeless minister is a hopeless minister, urging them to help their husband in all things.
He told them that if they didn't want what happened in the Garden of Eden to repeat itself in their home, they must help their husband.
Pastor Odejobi stated this on Wednesday May 19, 2021 while ministering on the topic "Roles and Reward of Ministers' Wives in God's Administration" at the 48th CAC Ministers' Wives Conference, Ikeji II.
The Cleric urged Ministers Wives to not be proud, saying that they should learn from what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar.
Taking his text from Daniel chapter 4 verse 17, the General Superintendent said no one can understand God if such a person doesn't understand how He rules in the affairs of men.
The Cleric also said that a real Minister's Wife must be the backbone of her husband's success or failure.
He urged Ministers' Wives to study the weakness and laxity of their husbands and cover them with prayer, good conduct (humility) and wise counsel.
Pastor Odejobi further told the Ministers' Wives that "without role, there is no impact, your role defines the impact you will make."
According to him, as Minister's Wife, you play very important roles at home and your impact is felt in the areas of supporting your husband, child raising, care for the family and other domestic roles, constant prayer and wise counsel, hospitality, neatness and dress mode.
While commenting on roles of Minister's Wife, the General Superintendent said: "the roles that a minister's wife perform in Church will depend on the type of church, expectations of members and her personality. The Pastor is the Shepherd taking care of God's flock while the wife is the Shepherdess who helps her husband to take care of God's flock. She is also a role model for most church members. Her life should preach an effective sermon on practical godliness."
On the role of Minister's Wife in the community, the Cleric said: "the social roles of the Minister's wife will be the same as the roles she plays in church. She is not being watched by only the members of her husband's congregation, but the entire community. She can therefore serve as a counsellor, leader and role model for the society. Her total submission to her husband both in private and public is very important."
