In his welcome address, the Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Ikorodu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos, Pastor Akinloye said Christians in Nigeria need to let the world know that accepting the lordship of Jesus Christ is the only solution to the current problems facing Nigeria.
He noted that Nigeria with increasing problems of insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, herdsmen attack, unemployment, economic meltdown etc., calls for our sincere prayers of repentance and total consecration unto God.
"It is high time we let the world realise that the only way out of these crises is accepting the lordship of Jesus Christ, for He is the Prince of Peace who can restore peace to Nigeria. And more importantly we must be prepared to win the world for Christ through our lifestyle in our daily dealings. Be prepared for the rapture of the saints which can happen anytime from now," he noted.
Pastor Akinloye congratulated the newly inducted President and General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele and Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, adding: "sirs, the church is definitely expecting much from you and it is my ultimate desire with prayers and supplications that you will equally deliver excellently to the glory of God in Jesus name."
While ministering at the programme on the topic "The Auxillary Nature of the Ministry of Elders and Deaconesses", an Associate Pastor at Christ Apostolic Church, Ikorodu DCC headquarters, Pastor F.I. Onafowote urged the Elders and Deaconesses to develop themselves and acknowledge that their appointment in God's vineyard is a call to serve.
He advised them to familiarise themselves with order of service of Christ Apostolic Church and understand how service is conducted during baptism, holy communion, holy matrimony, child naming ceremony, child dedication, laying foundation stone of the church, dedication of a church building etc.
Pastor Onafowote charged them to live for Christ only, saying this is the panacea to fulfilling ministry.
Also ministering at the programme on the topic "God's Standard for the Christian Home", the Secretary of Ikorodu DCC, Pastor E.A. Adebayo said a happy Christian home does not just happen, it must be developed, adding that nothing happens by chance, it doesn't drop from sky.
He told the Elders and Deaconesses that Jesus Christ must be acknowledged as the foundation and head of the home.
He added that;"when God is the focus of the couple, they draw closer to each other because their closeness to God draws them to each other, as a result of that, they end up having a happy Christian home.
According to him, every Christian home must be built on biblical principles, the word of God must be read, studied and followed, anything contrary to the word of God must not be allowed.
