In his speech obtained by CAC News, Pastor Gbuyiro said: "while welcoming everyone on board into a journey of faith with our Lord Jesus Christ with mission attached. It's of a necessity for me to inform our hearts as we take off this journey that, our sufficiency is of God."
Taking his text from 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 verse 5, which says, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God," the Cleric said: "the acceptable entry credential into God's purpose and divine assignment is the emptiness of all we were made of by ourselves because it's not sufficient to take us far in this journey."
He further stated that "of ourselves we have nothing to tender/present as credentials, but we all need to depend absolutely on God who is our sufficiency without which all efforts will amount to vain labour. Therefore, it becomes imperative to constantly and consciously remind ourselves that we are not sufficient of our own and nothing is possible except we are connected to God who alone is all sufficient."
He quoted John chapter 3 verse 27, saying that "in verse 30 of the same chapter John confessed one golden foundational truth for a fulfilled ministry. He must increase, but I must decrease. Until we deliberately form a lifestyle that expresses this golden truth we would only fill space, but not usable."
