Nigeria needs fervent prayer to avert impending storm, says Cleric

Pastor S.O Ajayi

The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC Oke-Iye Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Pastor Stephen O. Ajayi has stressed the need for all Nigerians to fervently pray to avert the impending storm looming to befall the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Ibadan at the weekend, Pastor Ajayi urged Nigerians of various denominations "to pray against the drums of war and crisis with the thick cloud of rain that brings fire rather than water."

The Cleric equally admonished people to always pray against flood disaster that could ravage the economy and other storms that would precipitate the death of glorious children.

He, however, warned people of refrain from sins "to prevent the occurrence of Egypt in Nigeria," noting that God is not happy with what is happening.

He called on religious leaders to gather their people for serious prayers, as he allayed the fear of some people over the recent precarious situation, saying Nigeria belongs to God and He will keep the righteous ones.
