It was a day of celebrating God's faithfulness at the 70th birthday ceremony of the Finance Director of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Johnson Foluso Omitinde.
No amount of word can describe the joy of the atmosphere at a programme organised by friends and lovers to celebrate a living legend, who has contributed his quota to the progress and development of CAC Worldwide.
While giving his speech at the service held on Saturday July 17, 2021 at CAC All Saints Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Ibadan, Pastor Omitinde revealed that he escaped death on three different occasions.
According to him, he was down with measles on two different occasions which could have claimed his life if not for divine intervention.
He further said that on the third occasion, he would have died many years ago when he went with his friend to swim at a particular swimming pool, but God rescued him from what could have brought an end to his sojourn on earth.
He thanked God for keeping him till now, saying it is by His mercy and power that has kept him till now.
Pastor Omitinde could not overemphasized the contribution of his wife, Mrs. Victoria Temilade Omitinde to his success in life.
He also appreciated some people who made positive impacts in his life and ministry. Among them is the late President of the church, Pastor E.H.L. Olusheye, Retired President and General Evangelist,Pastor Abraham Olukunle Akinosun and Prophet Samuel K. Abiara, incumbent President of the church, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, Director of Missions, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi and many others.
In his tribute to his husband, wife of Pastor Omitinde, Mrs. Victoria Omitinde described Pastor Omitinde as a wonderful and valiant servant of God, and epitome of humility.
"You are so loving and caring. A gentle, humble, kind-hearted and understanding husband. A good and caring father to his children. You really mean a lot to me, even at the point of death, you stood by me and took care of me. Thank you and God bless you,sir. I praise God for your life and I pray for more grace and anoiting to serve God, to do the work of God in good health for the rest of your life. I wish you many and prosperous years in Jesus name," she said.
Mrs. Omitinde threw the whole congratulations to a laughter when he called his husband, Pastor Omitinde, "my Automated Teller Machine (ATM)."
Ministering at the programme on the topic "Teach us to Number our Days," the Superintendent of CAC Olanrewaji District, Lagos, Pastor CAS Daramola said life is very brief and you need God as your teacher to know the exact thing you are created for.
Taking his text from Psalm 90 verse 12, Pastor Daramola further said it requires the teaching of the Lord to know the exact thing you are created for, saying that the wisdom the Bible passage is referring to is the wisdom to know God and His will.
He further said the it is the wisdom to make right decision when confronted with many options.
The Cleric told Pastor Omitinde that 70 is the age he has to make God personal to him than ever and acknowledge Him as his source and reflect on his short coming.
He further told Pastor Omitinde that this is not the time to pursue anything rather than God, adding that he can't live this life without God.
