The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi has urged music ministers to restore righteousness with their songs.
He noted that governing system has been basterdised, not only in government but in the church because of unrighteousness, saying that we must restore righteousness.
Pastor Odejobi noted that it is unrighteousness that has brought Nigeria this far and it is unrighteousness that has distabilised our government and ruling system.
The General Superintendent stated this while ministering on Thursday July 29, 2021 at 2021 International Music Ministers' Conference organised by the Music Directorate of CAC Worldwide at Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU). The Conference is for Music Ministers from Odubanjo, Babalola, Babajide, Hanson, Odusona and Olutimehin regions.
The Cleric said this is the time when unrighteousness is skyrocketing in the church, family and government, we need to stand for righteousness.
He told the Music Ministers to be reasonable like king David and sing not for singing sake, but to glorify God.
"You can only invest things already created by Him. Whatever we do in this perilous time, God owns the glory because He created all things. Don't be deceived by the way people are presenting music at this time. Let your music be based on the Rock of ages not sinking sand. You need to know the goodness of God that singled you out of the world. Sing to impress God at this time when judgement has been bastardised. Don't sing to destabilize the church of God. Take heed at this perilous time. Mind your mind," he concluded.
