22nd August 2021 was a joyous day in Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Praise, Akure as the children held their annual anniversary in appreciation to God for giving them the grace to witness another year.
Aside sunday school, every aspect of the service was led by the children. Part of the special features include Bible recitations, children action songs, memory verses. The junior choir sang melodiously to the glory of God. One of the songs, titled "Only Remembered" was rendered by the junior choir in remembrance of our 2 fathers (Pastor Prof. S.B. Adejuyigbe and Elder A. Ajibokun) who went to be with the Lord early this year. These two fathers were held dearly by the children department. They used their lives to remind members to live well as we will all be remembered by what we have done.
Part of the major highlights for the day was presentation of gifts to outstanding students from different categories in the last children sunday school examination.
Also, some of the children who had clocked 15years were graduated from the children church to the Adult church. While receiving them, the senior Pastor, Prof. J.T.B. Oluwatimilehin urged the children to keep working for God as they have been doing.
The children automatically became members of the youth fellowship. The sermon for the service was delivered by one of the graduating students, Bro. Femi-Felemu John. He charged the church to know God personally.
At the end of the programme, the Senior Pastor raised prayers for the children, pregnant women and expectant families. We pray that God will raise giants amongst the children of C.A.C. to pull down the kingdom of darkness. Glory be to God.
