The 2021 annual Showers of Blessing programme might have come and gone, but the memory of how God used the programme to transform and impart lives cannot be overemphasized.
God in His administration of man planned that His people should be blessed both physically and spiritually. One of such programme God is using to bless lives in a time like this is the annual Showers of Blessing programme organised by Christ Apostolic Church, Itire Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC).
This edition of the programme which started with pre-showers of blessing just like on yearly basis started on Monday June 21, 2021. It was held on Monday from 5pm to 8pm and Tuesday from 8am to 1pm of every week for seven weeks, while the grand finale which was one week programme was held from 8th to 13th August, 2021. The theme of this year's edition is 'God of the Future. No word can best describe how God touch lives and fulfilled part of His end-time plans for the church.
In his charge at the grand finale programme, the guest Minister of the programme who is the Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of my Glory, Ilorin, Prophet Gbenga Folorunsho assured the congregation that nothing can hinder their testimony but warned them not to fight with anyone.
He noted that: "If you don't suffer you can't be humble," saying everyone will pass through their trying times. He further encouraged people to always pay their tithe to the church they attend, discouraging people who share their tithes to different prophets and pastors, saying it's not right.
Prophet Folorunsho further stated that it's a bad thing for revivalists or pastors or prophets to scatter a church, saying anyone who has gift to scatter church, such person's life will scatter.
He finally told members of CAC Itire DCC not to leave the church and it shall be well with them.
In an interview with CAC News, the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun said since the year the programme started, God has been faithful to people.
He noted that there have been testimonies of what only God can do in this year's edition and previous editions of the programme.
