Such historicity and ground-breaking moments of God's demonstration of power, blessings and people's submission to the worship of God characterized the 13th anniversary of the Comfort Choir of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Itura Soyoye, Sabo District.
The anniversary themed "VOICE OF HIS PRAISE" from the text Psalms 66:1-8 held at the church auditorium was witnessed by church cleric, members of the local church, invited choristers and the choir executives.
The choir Grandpatron, Grandmatron, Patron and Matron, who individually testified to God's faithfulness since being privileged to giude, direct and support the choir, led the congregation to launching the new choir robe.
Being the first of its kind and upon the announcement of the appointment of Mr. Theophilus Babatunde as the Grandpatron of the choir, the congregation cheerfully gave towards other causes and needs of the choir department of the church, fulfilling 2 Corinthians 9:7.
In his textual sermon, the host minister, Pastor Festus A. Oyebade, exegeticized the need for people to consistently raise their voices in praises to God.
The cleric, who higlighted the reasons to always give praises to God, stated that, "we need to open up our voices of to praise God. That is why we called it Voice of His Praise. If we don't praise God, that means we are ingrates. If God gives you money, He wants you to use it to praise Him, same with everything you God has given you."
According to the cleric, the reasons to praise God continually, include "His good works over us; for His work of faith; for His work of love given unto us; and for His precious work over us."
He also declared that praising God should be, "during hard times and period of tribulation; in times of need; at the junction of disappointment and always."
"Praise is the expression of gratitude for individual favour received from God. Being alive alone is not a product of money or your position in life. Every aspect of our lives requires praises to God," he said.
