The District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Pentecostal District, Lagos, Pastor I.T. Ariyo has identified the roles of mentors, association and kingdom values as keys to maintaining a balanced life spiritually and secularly as well as attaining success.

He said this on Friday, September 3, 2021, during an interactive and discussion seminar at the 2021 International Youth Conference, Akinyele Region held at Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

The minister, while answering the question of how he struck balance with his spiritual and secular life mentioned Pastor Adeoye and Pastor Aluko, amongst others who mentored him; stating that, "I'm privileged because of my foundation. The people who mentored me - I couldn't do anything less or different from people who led me."

He continued that, "the people I surround myself with, they are people we share kingdom values. The place of my strength is not what I preach, it is not what I do in the public. I value the time I spend with the Lord."

Pastor Ariyo, who disclosed himself as the only child of his parents, declared his happiness about choosing the path of ministry despite his mother's disappointment when he ventured into ministry.

"My mom had a determination that she was going to do whatever it takes to make me successful," he said.

While he pointed that success to him is raising souls, people giving their lives to Christ and addition to the kingdom of God; Pastor Ariyo revealed that having become a figure in the ministry, his mother "became glad that what she was expecting me to do in another profession, I am able to do it being in the ministry."

The cleric also stated the need to maintain and be consistent with basic attitudes of growth, as, "I never stopped doing the things I used to do about thirty years ago," he said.
