CAC Adelaja regional headquarters celebrates 100 years in God's Presence

No word can best the joy of the atmosphere on Sunday October 17, 2021 at the 100th anniversary thanksgiving service of Christ Apostolic Church, Kano DCC headquarters, Adelaja regional headquarters, Kano State.

The anniversary which started on Monday October 10, 2021 with different powerful activities ended with a thanksgiving service packaged to appreciate God for His abiding presence and faithfulness.

It was a great and beautifully planned occasion that had the full backing of the Mission President, Pastor S. O. Oladele, who was ably represented at the occasion by a powerful delegation of the General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas - Pastor E. O. Odejobi and the General Secretary of CAC Nigeria and Overseas - Pastor E. E. Mapur. The theme of the Centenary celebration is "100 years in God's Presence."

Historical evidence shows us that a church that started in 1921 with just five members then metamorphosed from CAC Section C into a regional headquarters covering eleven States in the Northern part of Nigeria. 

Pastor Solomon N. Maichibi has been the Regional Superintendent of CAC Adelaja region since inception of regional administration in CAC (in 2018) and he championed the idea of celebrating the centenary of the region headquarters in a grand style. 

He emphasized the abiding presence of God as the secret behind the continued existence and growth of CAC in Adelaja Region.

According to the scripture, Isaiah 7:14, the name "Emmanuel" means God's presence is with us and coincidentally, both the General Superintendent and the General Secretary of CAC Nigeria and Overseas bear the name "Emmanuel." Their presence at the celebration also illuminated God's abiding presence in CAC Adelaja Region.

The General Superintendent in his message, emphasized the importance of God's presence in every situation the church of God may find herself. 

"No matter the challenges faced, we must abide in God's presence still," he said.

The occasion witnessed the presence of top government dignitaries, the entire Oba-in-Council of Yoruba Community in Kano was present; and a beautiful band of Trumpeters also added colour to the occasion. 

Choir ministrations were glorious and breathtaking. Every District, Zone and DCC in the region was well represented, worshipping together at the regional headquarters.

There was a large turnout of CAC members and invited guests from all over the 11 States of Adelaja Region, infact, the Regional HQ was filled to capacity. There was joy in the faces of all present, and there was enough refreshments to entertain everyone.
