It was a day of groundbreaking history on Sunday October 10, 2021 when Christ Apostolic Church, Amuwo Odofin Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), dedicated her newly purchased digital pipe organ.
The digital pipe organ which was donated by Engr. Samuel Olatunde Abiola (to commemorate his 70th birthday thanksgiving) was dedicated by the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, represented by the Acting Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor S.A. Adedayo.
The Church Choir in their beautiful robe alongside the whole congregation joyfully sang Halleluyah Chorus to appreciate God for the great achievement which is first of its kind and not common in many churches not only in Lagos, but in Nigeria.
While ministering at the programme, the Acting Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor Adedayo said our destinies lie in God's hand and that is why we have so many reasons to sing and praise God.
He noted that Prof. Hugher defined praise as 'an expression of gratitude of blessings received. It is acknowledged of perfection of His benefits.'
Commenting on why the Psalmist ordered the Israelites to praise God, Pastor Adedayo said: "he urged the people of his kind to praise God because of God's love. Because of God's faithfulness which endures forever. Have you ever got to a juncture in your life and thought of His benevolence?"
By birth, according to him, we are not Israelites but the Psalmist believes that God has His people all over the world.
"The whole world should join hands together in praising God for what He has done, for what He's doing and for for what He will do. Sit and reflect and think of God's goodness in your life. Look back and reason, see if you can count the goodness of God in your life," the Cleric stated.
The programme had in attendance the DCC Superintendent of CAC Amuwo Odofin DCC, Pastor Joe Jacobs, Music Director of the Church, Elder Tope Amudipe, the former Head of Department, Department of Music, Mountain Top University, Dr. Damope Oluranti and many others.
The Church Choir is using this medium to invite everyone to her 42nd Choir Festival holding on Sunday October 31, 2021. Organ recital by Dr. Ayo Oluranti runs from 3.30-4pm while festival proper starts by 4pm.
