Cutting of 29th wedding anniversary cake of Pastor &Mrs. C.S. Fasuyi |
Christ Apostolic Church, Victory Land, Pleasure Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), headquarters, Lagos, on Sunday December 12, 2021 held her 22nd Harvest Thanksgiving Service.
It was a celebration of God's sufficient grace as people of God gathered to celebrate what God has done at a programme tagged "Harvest of Restoration."
The programme also coincided with the 29th wedding anniversary of the Missions Director of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi who was present at the programme with his pretty wife, Mrs. J.T. Fasuyi. There was cutting of cake to mark the 29 years of God's faithfulness.
After a powerful session of prayer led by Pastor Fasuyi, the Cleric appreciated God for making the day a reality despite the advent of COVID-19 last year which disrupted a lot of activities.
Pastor Fasuyi also appreciated God for the life of the Superintendent of CAC Pleasure DCC, Pastor R.F. Ojogbede Alayo and his family who God has been using to shepherd the church.
The Cleric couldn't overemphasize the support of other minsters of the church, Elders, Choir, CACMA, Good Women, the Youth Fellowship, the Children and many others, imploring them to continue the good work.
In his anniversary message, the Superintendent of CAC Pleasure DCC, Pastor Alayo said "my joy today, is overwhelming and boundless. The joy of 22nd Harvest celebration of our great assembly: CAC Victoryland, Pleasure. Surely if it has not being the Lord who is on our side, what would our Israel be saying? No doubt, the story would have been unpalatable. Glory be to God for another grace to rejoice together in 2021."
Speaking on the theme of the anniversary, "Harvest of Restoration", the Cleric noted that restoration, by implication, is about renewal, multiplication, achievement, glorious manifestation and a divine settlement.
He added that "it's God great agenda for every member of this great assembly in this New Year. God is about to give us new life, new connection, new opportunity, new joy and unstoppable glory. I pray we shall not miss it in Jesus Name. As I wholeheartedly welcome you all to this great harvest, I want to specially appreciate the organizing committee, headed by Elder Yomi Babarinde: A man of great faith and unusual determination. He took over the role, even when it was not expected of him. I pray that the good Lord will settle you and your dynamic crew, immeasurably in Jesus Name.
"To the board of Elders, the Deaconesses and the entire workforce of the church, I give kudos to you for your sincerity, dedication and commitment. I pray that the Lord of Harvest of Restoration shall give us joy unending in Jesus Name. To our ever loving, caring, generous and evangelistic parents: Pastor & Mrs. Fasuyi, we owe you our undiluted appreciation for being there for us all the time. May our Omnipotent God reward your labour more and more till eternity in Jesus Name.
Pastor Alayo urged members of the church to always be mindful of the last harvest of souls that is fast approaching (Revelation 14:15), adding that, no doubt, the harvest of the world is ripe already, waiting for the Reaper to manifest.
While ministering at the programme, the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Calvary Zone, Pastor I. B. Ajanaku said when it comes to harvest, it is whatever we sow we will reap.
He told the congregation that Jesus is coming to harvest the righteous from the world, urging them to be ready.
"As we celebrate harvest, we must take note of this. The greatest harvest will come when Christ will come to harvest His followers," he stated.
The harvest Thanksgiving Service was crowned with thanksgiving by societies of the church who came with harvest of gifts with a lot of joy and dancing to God.
