Christ Apostolic Church, Salvation Zonal Headquarters, Oko Oba, Agege, Lagos celebrated her harvest anniversary in grand style on Sunday, 5th of December, 2021 and it was tagged "The Harvest of Glory" with the text taken from the book of Isaiah 40:5.
The auditorium was beautifully decorated in purple and white as the colours were seen among the church choir, committees, as well as the curate Pastor and Zonal Superintendent of Salvation Zone, in persons of Pastor Zephaniah Timilehin and Pastor John Soladoye Aiyepola respectively, also on the alter are harvest fruits of different kinds.
The anniversary programme started with Sunday School, as the congregation learnt from Lesson Ten of our CAC Sunday School Pamphlet, "Origin and Challenges of Single Parenting", Part 2, which emphasized on God's attitude to single-parenting and God helps single parents. After the lesson, questions and answers were also being observed.
The church entered into the realm of anniversary in full as the church choir led the congregation in worship and praise songs, it really got everyone on his feet to celebrate another year of God's faithfulness. After the mood of worship and praise, the church Evangelist, in person of Evangelist Solomon Idowu, led the congregational hymn from CAC GHB660. A member of the board of elders, Elder Bamgbose then prayed after the hymnal song. Bible reading was also taken by Elder Olatunbosun, from the scriptural text for the anniversary, Isaiah 40.
The Royal Shepherds of the church added colour to the celebration as they march in with the colour party parade.
Announcement was done by the church Evangelist and offerings were also collected.
The anniversary anchor, Mr Abiodun Abioye introduced the invited personalities, guest artists, Leaders of various groups in the church and the committees of the anniversary, male and female.
The guest artists, Evangelist Aluko and Izzy-Sax graced the event by causing the entire celebrants from each month of the year rendered an offering of thanks. There was also moment of testimony and Thanksgiving in which concerned families testified and gave thanks to the goodness of God. The church choir also rendered special songs to grace the event.
Baptismal certificate was issued by the church curate pastor to about 8 students who had undergone baptismal lectures and that had been baptized.
Pastor Ola, mounted the pulpit to preach on Harvest of Glory, he said, “IF ANYONE WOULD HARVEST GLORY, HE MUST HAVE PLANTED THE SEED OF GLORY, WITHOUT THE SEED, THERE IS NO GLORY” and he took the congregation into the realm of prayer after the sermon.
The Royal Shepherds Captain, Mr Femi Adelakun, called the parade for the removal of the flags. Vote of thanks was said by the anniversary chairman in person of Elder Jide Alao, and the Zonal Superintendent shared the grace.
