It is no doubt a day of thanksgiving and rejoicing on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the 2021 harvest thanksgiving service of Christ Apostolic Church, Victoryland, Calvary Zonal headquarters, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The programme with themed "Harvesting the Harvester" had in attendance the Church Authority, represented by the Missions Director of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi and his wife, Mrs J. T Fasuyi; CAC Pleasure DCC Superintendent, Pastor A. Ojogbede; CAC Ilupeju District Superintendent, Pastor J. Atolagbe; CAC Lekki District Superintendent, Pastor J. Adeyanju and many others.
While ministering at the programme, the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Calvary Zone, Pastor I. B. Ajanaku urged Christians not to pollute themselves with sin because there is pollution everywhere (Rev. 22:11).
He noted that despite the fact that we are in the dispensation of grace and we have opportunities than previous dispensations, we shouldn't abuse this grace.
According to him, law and religion disappointed us, Moses by law disappointed the world, Elijah by religion disappointed the world, but Jesus Christ saved the world by grace.
He urged the congregation to think about what they can do to make the church grow, adding that in the church there is pillar and caterpillar and "it is left for you to choose where you want to belong."
The Cleric further said that the pillars that should hold firm the church are cracking, which are pillars of unity, evangelism, faith, love etc.
Commenting on harvest, Pastor Ajanaku said; "harvest can never cease from coming. We need to celebrate because God preserves our lives considering the happenings in Nigeria this day. Harvest is God's design for celebration. It is a festive moment, but we shouldn't limit ourselves to just physical celebration. Celebration of harvest has an undertone and overtone. As we celebrate harvest, we must take note of this. The greatest harvest will come when Christ will come to harvest His followers."
The Missions Director of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Fasuyi who was called to pray over the message, commended Pastor Ajanaku for the timely message; saying that the church is lucky to have someone who can preach the undiluted word of God.
He further said that people should take heed to the word.
According to him, one of the reasons why we are here as missionaries is to depopulate the kingdom of hell and populate the kingdom of God.
Pastor Fasuyi concluded by praying fervently for everyone present at the programme.
The harvest thanksgiving service was crowned with thanksgiving by societies of the church who came to harvest of gifts with a lot of joy and dancing to God.
