Every December 31st of every year is all about the Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Oshodi Zone, Pastor Festus F. Daramola. The Cleric was born on this day 59 years ago.
His Biography
Pastor Daramola was born on December 31, 1962, in Ode Aye, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria. An insurer and banker turned theologian and religious teacher who is expert of Philosophy of Religion. Through his words and actions, Festus precipitated a movement that reformulated certain basic tenets of Christian belief and resulted in the undiluted preaching and teaching of the Word. He is one of the most influential figures in the history of Christianity and religious study.
Soon after Festus’s birth, his family moved from Ode Irele to the small town of Ago-gboro, some 10 miles (16 km) to Ore township. His father, Late Lawson Daramola and mother, Late Juliana Daramola, were peasant farmers, who prospered in farming produce, became a town leader.
He began his education at Saint Mark Anglican Primary School, Ore, he later left after his primary three to Army Children School, Otu-Costain, where he completed his Primary School education. He went to Otu Community High School for his secondary education. He went to CAC Theological Seminary Ile-Ife and graduated with upper credit in 1993. Thereafter, he went to the prestigious Lagos State University for his Diploma in Christian Studies with upper credit. He put in for his first degree in the same university for his Bachelor of Christian studies and finished with second class honours (lower division). In his quest to know more, he furthered his education, he registered for master degree, and completed his Master of Arts degree in Christian religious studies in 2008.
He immediately registered for his doctoral degree and completed after eight years of rigorous training and research on the topic “A critical studies of the ethics of abortion among Christians in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.” He bagged his Doctoral Degree (CRS) PhD, specialist of Philosophy of Religion in 2016.
Pastor Daramola was called into full time ministry of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide over 34 years ago, after his tutelage training under Late Pastor Elijah Olusheye, the former CAC President, in 1985 to 1988. He has served in various capacities in the church; as Teacher, Assembly Pastor, District Superintendent among others.
He is currently the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Oshodi Zone. He is a member of various academic body, such as: Member of Association of Philosophy of Religion. Member, Association of Nigerian Association for the study of Religions (NASR). Member, Lagos State Association of Academicians (LSA), an International academic body. Member, Special Members’ Forum of the Bible Society of Nigeria. He is former Ojo Auxiliary Chairman, former member of Executives of BSN Area 1 of Lagos State, former Chairman of BSN Special Forum Member Nationwide and still a member of BSN Special Forum Executives. He is former Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State. (CAN). He currently lectures at CACTS, Lagos campus, Idimu, and also current member of Management Board of the Seminary. He is happily married to Mrs. Helen A. Daramola, the Mother of Daramola kingdom and blessed with wonderful children.
