President, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele
President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, has likened the situation in Nigeria today to the days of the wicked King Herod in whose time Jesus Christ was born.
He said this at the weekend during the 2021 edition of the church’s Christmas Carol at All Saints’ Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Bashorun, Ibadan.
The cleric, who noted that the evil in the land had brought everyone under a thick cloud of darkness, said: “Today, when we look at our world, it can be liken to the days of King Herod. All we find and see around us today is violence, immorality, butchering, drunkenness, kidnapping and so on. When we look at situations in Nigeria today for example, we see all sorts of idolatrous practices and shedding of many innocent blood.”
Pastor Oladele, while speaking on corruption, added that no one could put an end to it except we return to God, saying: “Look at the circle of corruption that we have found ourselves today. It is only when we allow Christ to rule and reign that there’s going to be a difference.
“Our hope is not in any political party because the present government came on the mantra of change and this is the change we are witnessing but our hope is in God and not any man. He is the one that rules in the affairs of men. He will intervene and we keep on hoping because our hope is in Him and not in any political party.”
That's very correct
