It was a celebration of a well-spent life and time of Pa Gabriel Sunday Popoola as family and friends gathered from all over the world to give him a befitting burial.
The burial, which started with a service of songs and wake-keep on Thursday, 9th December, 2021 ended with the burial service on Friday 10th December, 2021, and was well attended by well wishers of the family.
Ven. Olusola Adekola, the Vicar and Archdeacon of Babamuboni Memorial Anglican Church, Iyin Ekiti in his sermon urged the congregants to live life in such a way that focuses on heaven as we take nothing away from the world.
He further reiterated on the testimonies people gave about Pa Popoola, of how he used his influence and position to life people up. He asked the congregation what would be said about them when they are gone.
The event had in attendance many dignitaries such as Pastor and Mrs Tope Dada, the Music Director, Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor Leshi, Prophet Layi Bamidele, Pastor Ben Oyebanji, Pastor Praise Folarin, Pastor BJ Olorunfemi, Pastor Segun Awolumate, Elder Kehinde Mogaji, Deacon Steve Alaba Depo-Mogaji among others.
Pa Gabriel Sunday Popoola lived for 79 years before he joined the saints triumphant. May God be with the family and friends he left behind.
