Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Isegun, Ilorin Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ilorin, Kwara State, on Sunday January 9, 2022 dedicated a multi-million naira Nursery and Primary School building.
One would have thought a day like this would never come. A day where C.A.C Oke Isegun Nursery and Primary School Ilorin which has been existing for over thirty years would have befitting modern structures, with high standard of operations and modern facilities in a very conducive environment.
The school formerly operated in some parts of the first floor and the last floor of the two-storey building. The ground floor was formerly used by English Assembly for weekly and Sunday services. The ground floor also had office spaces and a residential apartment, until the project kick-started in November 2021.
Members and the leadership of church gathered to appreciate God and commissioned the over twenty million Naira school project to create an enabling learning environment for pupils.
While speaking at the official dedication of the newly renovated school, the Superintendent of Ilorin Districts' Coordinating Council, Evang. E.T Akeredolu gave thanks to the Almighty God and emphasized on the efforts and the good job well done by the Education Committee of the church. He also hailed the Pastors, Board of Elders, Deaconesses and the entire leadership and members of the church for the supports which gave birth to the success of the project.
In his remarks, he described the school as highly affordable in spite of the standard, where members can directly or indirectly benefit from.
Mr. Olorundare Solomon Tolu, who led other members of the Education Committee of the church to coordinate the milestone achievement, assured parents who are members of the church that the church had approved mouth watering discounts on the school fees of pupils in all classes: Creche, KG, Nursery and primary.
Many qualified members of the church were employed both as teaching and non teaching staff with competitive remunerations.
Standard playing ground with modern equipment were also provided. A free Santa Claus show was organized by the school during the 2021 Christmas period for over five hundred children in the environment.
The DCC Superintendent called on the members to be up, doing and fervent.
He urged members for more support on the other ongoing projects of the church, especially the construction of the modern English Assembly Church auditorium.
The school formally resumed this year on Monday January 10, 2022.
