Christ Apostolic Church, Somolu-Olaleye Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Somolu, Lagos, on Saturday January 15, 2022 held 2022 Leaders' Seminar with the theme "The Outstanding Leader."
The leaders’ seminar is always an avenue to retreat, refocus and redirect the church leader’s activities to align with the strategies, mission and vision of the church.
With this in mind, the District Coordinating Council of Somolu-Olaleye ensures this becomes the first gathering at the DCC level every year.
The seminar which was held at the DCC Headquarters had good representations across all Districts under the DCC leadership.
The DCC Superintendent of CAC Somolu-Olaleye DCC, Pastor Joseph Oluwemimo during his welcome message tagged – “The Responsibilities of Outstanding Leaders” made note the importance for church leaders to lead God’s flock by walking personally with God and by working together to help church members do same.
He encouraged leaders to pass unto faithful men the words that were shared by the Guest Minister on the Thematic Study- The Outstanding Leader.
The present Regional Youth Coordinator of Akinyele Region; Pastor Olu Olorunpomi was the Guest Minister who through the help of God blessed every present leader by speaking on the Sacrificial Responsibilities of a leader.
He also expounded on the platform of Significance for an outstanding leader.
Pastor Olorunpomi characterized the attributes of the acceptable sacrifice as being original, invisible (not always seen/noticed), infinite (never enough) and affinity (tendency to make more and more).
He spoke extensively from Paul’s exoneration/appraisal of Andronicus and Junia in Romans 16:7 and challenged the church with the same pointing that- “If the DCC Superintendent were to write an epistle in years to come, would your name be mentioned? And how would you be described? What if God were to open the books of service? Would your name be found therein? Good enough, the books shall be opened someday!”
The session was rounded up with a notice for same platform for the DCC workers on the 19th of March, 2022
