God in the administration of man gave different mandates to different people. Though, the primary mandate given by God to all Christians is to propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus (make disciples), but He assigned every Christian to achieve this through many means. He called many into the journalism world to use their prowesses to showcase His glory. One of such people is the Director of Publicity, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Ademisoye Alawode.
Pastor Alawode's reputation as a consummate professional imbued with a high sense of integrity is widely known by many who have had interactions with him while he practised journalism at the Punch, Vanguard and Nigerian Tribune Newspapers
Pastor Alawode who was born on this day many decades ago.
He trained as Mass Communicator. He read journalism at London School of Journalism, United Kingdom. He Joined Punch Newspaper in 1976. Rose to Chief Sub-Editor before leaving for Vanguard in 1985.
He is a pioneer staff of Lagos News and later rose to become Editor in 1989.
The Cleric joined Newswatch Newspaper and rose to edit Eko Weekly, a sister publication of Newswatch. He returned to Punch Newspaper as Production Editor in 1997 and later left Punch for Nigerian Tribune Newspaper.
Pastor Alawode was called to God's vineyard in 2007. He attended CAC Theological Seminary, Lagos Campus. He holds Bachelor of Theology etc.
He joined CAC General Secretariat in 2010 as Director of Publicity.
He is married and blessed with children and grand children.
