Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary gets new Registrar

The Authorities of Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, have approved and confirmed the appointment of Pastor Lawrence Biola Akinyosoye as the Registrar of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS).

The Provost of the Seminary, Pastor Prof. Christopher Olubunmi Oshun, made this announcement on Friday, 18th March, 2022 at the Main Campus of the Seminary, Opa, Ile Ife, Osun State.

According to Pastor Oshun, Pastor Akinyosoye was recommended by the institution to the Governing Council of the Seminary to fill the seat of the Registrar which has been vacant since January 2022; and upon several screenings and interviews became appointed. 

The vacancy was opened due to the redeployment of Pastor T.A. Adesoji (the erstwhile) by the church authorities, having fulfilled his tenure of office dexterously; to become the Superintendent of CAC Isokun DCC, Ilesa.

Elatedly announcing the confirmation of the new Registrar by the church authority, the Provost said that, “Here we are, God has blessed us with a new Registrar. On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Staff and students of the entire campuses, I present to you the newly appointed Registrar. His appointment is with immediate effect. We covet your support and prayers for him.” 

Till his appointment as Registrar, Pastor Akinyosoye served as the Director of General Studies, Director of Student Affairs and as Chaplain, CACTS Main Campus, Ile Ife, Osun State. 

Before his first appointment as Lecturer II at the Main Campus of the Seminary on 1st September, 2016, the Ile Ife born cleric, served as Adjunct lecturer at the Main and Ilesa Campuses from 2011.

Pastor Akinyosoye, born-again in 1981, started his career as a Class Teacher at Iponriu-Agbonkuta, Ile Ife in 1981; worked as Clerical Officer/Confidential Secretary in Training at University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) from 1981, became an Administrative Officer and rose to be qualified as Assistant Registrar of OAU.

He obtained his B.Th. (Acadia) at CINDICO, Erinmo in 1995; B.A. (Hons) English Studies at OAU in 2003; M.A. English Language, OAU in 2010 and Certificate in Electronic Data Processing, OAU.
