It was celebration galore on the 19th of March 2022 as Pastor Samuel Akintunde of Christ Apostolic Church, Santos District, Transfiguration Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC) marked his 50th birthday with launching of a new book.
The celebration had in attendance friends, families, ministers of God and special dignitaries who all joined Pastor Akintunde in worshiping God for the good things He has done. The programme had in attendance the Acting DCC Superintendent of Transfiguration DCC, Pastor I.O. Onibaba.
The title of the book launched is "Established in God's Righteousness."
While speaking on the title of the book, the guest minister of the day, Pastor Robert Adeagbo from Decross Gospel Mission said righteousness means being in right standing with and in God.
He noted that no one can earn righteousness, you can't fast for it, it is the grace and gift of God and it is something that God demands from everyone.
"Your faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to enjoy righteousness and as long as you are a child of God you must always stand in for righteousness. Walk, live, speak, act according to your faith in Christ Jesus.Are you righteous? Are you in Faith?Only righteousness can make you reign with Christ. We are not safe in the world today because we lack righteousness.We can only become a light to this world when we become righteous and live a righteous life," he concluded.
Commenting about the celebrant, one of the celebrant's long time friend, Pastor Peace said;"he has been very diligent even before he was called into the ministerial work. I have known him for a very long time even when he was managing an hotel. He has never attended to me rudely, I am not surprised he is doing great in his ministerial work."
‘’He has been my supporter right from the beginning,’’ the younger sister of the celebrant, Mrs. Oyebamiji said. She noted that his brother would always support anything she does right from childhood, he loves to put smile on peoples face and he is also a disciplinarian.
The wife of Pastor Akintunde, Mrs. Akintunde said as she rounds off the testimony session;"He is my love. My best man. He has always been there for me. I love you and I pray may God continue to be with you all through your journey.
