The Assistant Youth Coordinator and Campus Coordinator, Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship Akinyele Region, Pastor Israel T. Ariyo, has said that young people in Christ across campuses need to burn for God so much that their flames consume.
He said this while delivering a lecture on the topic "Ablaze - Be on fire for Christ" at the 2022 Campus Executive Retreat organised by CACYOF Akinyele Region for campus fellowship executives in the Region held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at CAC Testimony District Headquarters, Ilogbo, Lagos.
According to him, there are lots of dry grounds throughout the earth - a world full of people who do not know God.
"There's a world full of people who don't know the Lord and who never think about God. They don't know how much He loves and cares for them and that He wants to help them in whatever they're going through."
This kind of ground, he explained, are the field Christ passionately said was ripe for harvest.
"The intellectual ground - the elites, the highly placed, young scholars across the Higher Institutions of Learning, is a ground very dry of God's knowledge (of course head knowledge is different from heart insight), but indeed ripe to be set ablaze for the kingdom and harvest." he said.
He stressed further that youths across campuses must allow God's power flow through them.
"Let us let His love and compassion flow through us to the lost. It is time to be ablaze for God across our campuses and light up our world with His love, compassion, and power".
According to Pastor Ariyo, the vision to be ablaze for Christ across campuses is achievable through visible kingdom encounter including, the birth of the seed of the gospel whose foundation experience is that of encounter and not professional outlook; kingdom fruits as reflected in ethical values; heads of the gospel who are role models and take the approach of character evangelism; encounter with divine knowledge above earthly or human wisdom; young men and women that have moved from Jordan experience to be highly immersed in the encounter of Pentecost; and spiritual leadership that is subject to continual rekindling of spiritual fire encounter from time to time.
