Pastor Oyebade, at the 2022 Workers' Seminar of the church held on Sunday, 10th April, 2022, highlighted being born again and Holy Spirit filled, teamwork spirit, being heavenly minded, discipline, obedience, commitment and humility, as some of the things to do add to working for God earn rewards from Him.
Speaking on the topic, "Work that Earns Reward" culled from the CAC 2022 watchword, II Chronicles 15:7, the clergyman furthered that church workers must be committed to prayer, studying the scriptures, the works of Christ, church financial projects, faithfulness and hard work.
He furthered that, "there must be total commitment in your service. God does not require your interest but your commitment. Commitment is being dedicated, devoted, sold out and paying the price. Commitment is higher and better than interest and likeness. High commitment is required of you to make impact in the church work."
The clergyman who listed some of the instruments needed for church workers to include, the Holy Spirit, prayer, fasting, love, wisdom, faithfulness, seminars/conferences, and vision for the church; also highlighted lack of giving towards God's work, pride, conspiracy, promoting self-interest, competition, inability to keep secrets, doing things in haste, unforgiving spirit and envy as things to avoid as church workers.
According to Pastor Oyebade, there are earthly and heavenly rewards for devoted workers in the house of God; of which the former includes, fame, respect and honour, adequate supply and provisions, promotions and victories; while heavenly rewards include crown of life, imperishable crown, crown of rejoicing, crown of righteousness and crown of glory.
The cleric urged church workers to be obedient, faithful, humble and steadfast so as to receive good rewards when the Head of the Church appears to reward every man according to his works.
