Friday June 24, 2022 was another day of history in Christ Apostolic Church, Pearce Region as the Regional Youth Executives of the region were formally inaugurated.
The executives were inaugurated during their Leadership Retreat, by the Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, while Pearce's Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.O. Aluko prayed for the executives.
Pastor E.O.B. Adeleke is the Regional Coordinator of the 19-member executives who are saddled with the responsibility of leading the youth fellowship of Pearce Region that comprises of 25 DCCs and Zones.
While ministering at the programme which had Assembly, District, Zonal and DCC youths leaders of the region in attendance, the Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Gbuyiro said failure to understand God's divine purpose for whatever He does is the reason for compromise and ultimate failure in both life and ministry.
Speaking on the topic "Building Vibrant,Healthy and Effective Disciples", he further said that basically, God gathers people unto Himself because they will be needed in His service /vineyard and He brings them under a leader primarily to nurture, build, grow and disciple them as to become FIT to be FIXED and FILL their spaces in His purpose and not FORCED.
According to him, the ultimate mission attached to our salvation is to become usable for God to fulfill His purpose on earth.
Pastor Gbuyiro said man's willingness to be enlisted in the making process confirms his/her understanding of God's purpose. When man misses his purpose for living, he ignores his making process.
He noted that it is unrighteous for God to entrust the eternity of innocent souls into the hands of men who had not been tried and tested to prove them trusted.
"It takes only Moses who had been discipled by Jethro to disciple Joshua. It takes Elijah to disciple Elisha. Abraham discipled Isaac; Isaac discipled Jacob; from Jacob the nation Israel; David raised many mighty men; Jesus discipled 12 Apostles; the Apostles raised other disciples in obedience to Christ command and Paul discipled Timothy, Titus, Luke, and many others. This was possible for them because they have been discipled. Being a disciple makes difference in ministry (Matthew 7:21)," the Clergyman said.
After the message, the Assistant Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor S.O. Oke led a powerful session of prayer and prophetic declaration.
