It was indeed a time of unreserved praises to God at CAC Ipadabo Jesu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC) Headquarters, Iyange Quarters, Oke-Ogba, Akure, Ondo State, in a programme tagged MID YEAR FESTIVAL OF PRAISE with the theme: “VICTORIOUS PRAISE”.(2 Chronicles 20:26) which was held between the 2nd day to the 10th day of July 2022.
The maiden special praise programme was initiated by the Holy Spirit through His servant, Pastor G.Olu Akeju Ph.D., the DCC Superintendent whose recent transfer to the church has brought about tremendous growth and the advancement of the Gospel.
The programme kicked off with memorable street praise as members of the church, both old and young trooped out in large numbers with their customized tee-shirts to praise the almighty God, proclaim the gospel and as well create awareness for the programme. This lasted for the first two days of the programme.
On the third day of the programme, the indoor praise service started at the church auditorium between the hours of 5pm to 7pm daily. The praise service was a super-packed one, the following are the outlined segments, Psalms reading, powerful praise sessions led by the guest ministers, and a word charge.
The guest ministers in attendance were; Evang. J.J Akeju (J.J Sax), Lady Evang. Tola Ayegbo, Lady Evang. Deborah Olanireti Balogun, Lady Evang. Folashade Oni, Cynosure Gospels, CAC Ipadabo Jesu (Yoruba Church Choir), CAC Ipadabo Jesu ( English Church Choir).
The grand finale of the programme was not an exception to the joyful atmosphere that the church enjoyed from the first day of the programme. The church members appeared in their beautiful attires and with grateful hearts before the Lord. It was a time of refreshing, the people poured their love on God. The children's choir was not left out as they ministered powerfully in songs.
Furthermore, the DCC Superintendent charged the church with the reasons they should cultivate the habit of praising God. In his words, he posited that if you want to be raised, you must engage in praising God.
He used the story of Paul and Silas as an illustration of how God is moved to interfere in one’s matter when we praise and worship Him.
The scripture was fulfilled, God indeed inhabited the praises of His people, and His manifest presence was felt.
