A night never meant to end, a figure and earthly typology of the reality of the glorious joy and musicale of Heaven - enough to make a Christian anticipate eternity with God and the hosts of Heaven.
The Concert Night of the just concluded 2022 International Music Conference organized by the Directorate of Music, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, held on Friday, 29th July, 2022 was thrilling and sensational with deep orchestrational performance.
The music ministers threw a massive display of talent and skillful music that did not only depict professionalism but apostolic spirituality.
The Director of Music, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Tope Dada, who welcomed his audience to the inspirational night and Grandfinale of the 3 Days International Music Conference, also announced the appointment of some regional coordinators and executives of the music department.
The standby choristers performed the following songs to the sensation and soul-lifting experience of the audience, "Come Down, O Love Divine" as the opening hymn; "Let the fire fall," the conference anthem; "Chant Psalm 150"; "Amazing Love"; "Onward Christian Soldier"; "I am that I am"; "Empty Me" and "Alleluya, Chimle."
Giving the Presidential Message, the President, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, duly represented by his Special Assistant, Pastor Tunde Asokeji, commended the performance of the music ministers, and urged them to live a holy life beyond their skills in music.
A Special Prayer for the Nation accompanied with the hymn, "Master, the Tempest Is Raging" (CACGHB859) was led by the Superintendent, Yaba DCC, Pastor SEA Oludare.
In his closing remarks, Pastor Tunde Asokeji on behalf of the CAC President, Pastor S. O. Oladele, appreciated God for the privilege to be vessels, complimenting that "the quality of this year's Conference is the best so far. It's been our prayer that subsequent conferences would be better. Our prayers have been answered."
"The concern of the Church is usually about indiscipline of choir members but thank God we haven't received a bad report so far. It is one of the proofs that the choir has matured. It would be the joy of the Church Authority to have us go back home and replicate all what we have come here to learn - the music, moral and spiritual lessons - in our churches," the cleric said.
The Chairman Planning Committee of the 2022 International Music Conference, Elder Femi Ilori, also appreciated God, committee members, dignitaries present and participants at the concert, wishing them safe journies back home.
Earlier in the day, an interactive session between the music ministers and leaders of the Music Department of CAC, Nigeria and Overseas held, where questions and issues raised by the musicians were addressed.
