After his induction as the third Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Akinyele Region, Pastor S. A. Adedayo has on Sunday, 17th July, 2022 paid his first official visit to CAC Somolu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Cecilia Folashade Adedayo, the Onijimi Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Daramola, amongst others. Pastor Adedayo's arrival was warmly received at the premises of the Headquarters, CAC Oke Isegun, No 11, Olu Ajisegbede Street, Apata Somolu, Lagos, by the DCC Superintendent, Pastor E. O. O. Oyedeji, his wife, Evang. (Mrs.) Yemi Oyedeji; District Superintendents, selected Elders and DCC officers as well as a parade of the Royal Shepherd.
In his Sermon titled "Repentance from Sin", the Regional Superintendent, Pastor S. A. Adedayo, lamented that the topic of repentance is being detested by the present generation, describing it as the act of "turning from old and bad ways unto God."
"Where there is true repentance, there will be godly sorrow and total surrender to God for service," he said.
Alluding Biblical preachers of repentance, Noah as a righteous preacher (Gen. 6:9; 2 Pet. 2), John the Baptist (Mat. 3:1,2), Jesus' public ministry (Mat. 4:17), the Apostles (Acts 3:10), Pastor Adedayo highlighted various recurrent ills to repent from, they are, "Bribe before assisting people. Requesting for sex before helping a lady. Fraud. Evil commitment. Hatred of one’s neighbor. Lying and bearing False witness. Drunkenness. Stealing. Unbiblical living. Cheating. Embezzlement. Defrauding one’s partner – infidelity. Failure to pay Tithes. Kidnapping," amongst others.
He emphasized the necessity of repentance because, there is joy for repentance (Lk. 15:10) and that the kingdom of God is at hand.
After the sermon, the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oyedeji said the Closing Remark and appreciation message.
At the end of the service was the dedication of the reconstructed Faith Home and the announcement of the newly appointed midwife, Mrs. Ruth Olukemi Abiala; followed by the dedication of the Guest House and the new car of the DCC Superintendent.
