The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas has inaugurated Christ Apostolic Church, God's Grace District and inducted Pastor Peter Oyebamiji as the pioneer District Superintendent.
The inauguration of the district and induction of the pioneer Superintendent took place on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the District Headquarters in Magboro, Ogun State.
Pastor Oyebamiji was inducted by the Superintendent of CAC Ketu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor M.A. Ajayi who represented the church authority.
While ministering at the programme on the topic "Responsibilities of a Steward", the Superintendent of CAC Ketu DCC, Pastor Ajayi defined a steward as somebody given an assignment to take care of what doesn't belong to him or her.
According to him, stewards are Ministers of God, Board of Elders, all the Departmental Heads and Workers in all the departments in the church.
He said; "whatever department you are in the church, you are referred to as Stewards. All members of the church are Stewards. We are Stewards because we are commission to go into the world and preach the gospel."
Our responsibility as Stewards, according to Pastor Ajayi is to preach the gospel, saying it is not meant for the Pastors alone.
"We have left the job of preaching the gospel for Pastors alone. No wonder we don't have new converts again because we thought it is for the Pastors. We have been saved and we are to go out for the salvation of others. What is happening this day is sheep stealing, that is, taking members of other churches to your church. What we have is transfer of church members from one church to another. This is not how our fathers did it. We have to wake up. CAC Magboro must engage in evangelism and next year plant another church. Go to places where there are no CAC assemblies and plant churches," he said.
The Clergyman implored the Elders to do fulfil their responsibilities faithfully, adding that; "if you can't add to the pocket of the church don't remove from it. Some Elders are fun of inflating prices."
Pastor Ajayi told the newly inducted Superintendent to let his good works and faithfulness be shown to everyone.
He added that; "be one of the people who show integrity in faithfulness and honesty".
Pastor Ajayi finally urged ministers of God not to compromise the truthfulness in the message they preach because of anybody, saying that; "whatever you are doing, do not expect man to reward you for the work God is doing through you."
The programme had in attendance family, friends and well wishers of Pastor Oyebamiji. Among the notable faces in attendance is the wife of the Regional Superintendent of Pearce Region, Pastor S.O. Aluko, Mrs. Julianah Aluko and many others.
