It was a moment of reflection and spiritual re-awakening as God visited His people through His prepared vessels during the 2022 Workers' Seminar of Christ Apostolic Church, Ogbagi Zone, held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at CAC Oke Alaafia Zonal Headquarters.
The Seminar themed “Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of Christ" was taken from the text, 2nd Peter 3:18.
The Zonal Superintendent of CAC Ogbagi Zone, Pastor E. A. F. Osomooba in his opening remarks, expressed his joy and appreciation to God Almighty who made the programmme possible.
Pastor Osomooba who explained that the nature of growth is change, evident by marked increase in the knowledge of God; mentioned preventive grace, saving grace, enabling grace, transforming grace, empowering grace, sustaining grace, triumphant grace, among others, as the processes of Grace.
The Zonal Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Irun Zone, Irun Akoko, Pastor M. O. Idowu while delivering his lecture expressed the contributions of the church workers in the church growth and family.
He noted that this end time demand much to be achieved in bringing sanity, peace, honour, harmony and orderliness to church growth, spiritually or numerically.
"There must be perfect co-existence between the stakeholders, Elders, Deacons, deaconesses and the Ministers whom are God's chosen people that he relies upon for the extension of His Kingdom on earth. The way by which the church ministers and all other various workers observe their duties for development of the church is crucial to watch," he said.
The cleric concluded that "if we want our churches to experience genuine growth, the Ministers, elders, deacons, and deaconesses and all other workers must at all times see themselves as tools in the hand of God for the perfection of the saints. Therefore, they must be very careful of how they work together. If their aims, objectives and goals are always for the growth and development of the body of Christ (Church), they must relate well among themselves cordially. They must also be careful not to cause the innocent members of the church to sin by their dealings with each other. Remember that God will not substitute walk with work. Only those who do His will be saved (Matthew 7:21-23)."
In attendance were the Church workers including, choir members, Ushers, Sundays School Teachers, Deaconesses, Elders, Band Leaders, Evangelists Pastors and other dignitaries.
