Christ Apostolic Church, Ogbagi zone, Ogbagi-Akoko, Ondo State today thursday August 18, 2022 held a seminar for all Ministers and their wives in the zone with the theme, "Grow in the Knowledge and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (2nd Peter 3:18)".
The well attended programme was held at the zonal headquarters, CAC Oke-Alaafia, Ogbagi-Akoko, Ondo State.
In his Welcome Address, the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Ogbagi Zone, Ogbagi-Akoko, Pastor E. A. F. Osomooba welcomed the Ministers and their Wives to the seminar, and thereafter, introduced the resource persons to the congregation.
Pastor Osomooba, while delivering his lecture on the topics "Role of a Minister as a Father", and "the Purpose of Growth in the Grace and Knowledge of God as a Minister", culled from 1 Timothy 1:12-16, he explained the effectiveness of a father to ministry and family.
In his definition of terms, Pastor Osomooba described ministers as men called by God, approved by God and men who rightly dividing the word of truth accordingly and showing good example of godliness, forbearance, patience, concerned with situation and care for the souls kept in their possession.
"God does not want a run-off-the-mill minister to lead his church, rather, He wants a red-hot burning fire-spitting and spiritual father to lead His church. God is constantly searching for a man who must be wise as serpent, harmless as dove to lead His people," he said.
He identified the need for spiritual, moral and physical growth for maturity as growth is not negotiable in this end time.
The areas of growth, according to the Superintendent, is personal devotion, studying the word of God, growth in our commitment to Kingdom service because we ought to be vessels unto honour in the house of God, growth in inter-personal relationship among brethren and contribution towards the community and also attitude towards our family and the church of God.
Pastor Osomooba further enumerated the various ways to sustain growth in time like this to include, "ministers must dare to be different, love not the world and things that in the world, live a submitted life, be vigilant and never allow Satan to take advantage (1 Peter 5:8)."
