It was a moment of reflection and spiritual reawakening when God visited His people through His prepared vessels during the 2022 edition of refresher course of Christ Apostolic Church, Ogbomoso Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), which was held from Thursday August 4 to Saturday August 6, 2022 at the DCC headquarters.
The theme of the programme was “Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of Christ" with the text taken from 2nd Peter chapter 3 vs. 8.
The Superintendent of CAC Ogbomoso DCC, Pastor J.S. Adegoke in his opening remark expressed his joy and appreciation to God Almighty who made the programmme possible.
He also charged people and made it clear that the nature of grace is voluntary and free. Preventive grace, Saving grace, Enabling grace,Transforming grace, Empowering grace, Sustaining grace, and Triumphant grace among others were mentioned as processes of Grace.
The Zonal Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Ajijola Oluwa Zone, Ogbomoso, Pastor Peter O. Adams while delivering lecture expressed God’s mind that no one can live a fulfill life without daily functional relationship with God.
On the other hand, Pastor Caretaker Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, Rev'd Dr. S. A. Oyeniran while delivering lecture on “Handling Failure, Frustration and disappointment in Ministry" itemized pride, losing once vibrant and personal relationship with God, lack of understanding of the ministry God has given to an individual, when God seems silent, frustration from Satan as a result of being fervent for God, poor leadership, covetousness, sexual and moral misconduct etc are some of the causes of failure, frustration, and disappointment in ministry.
He further explained how to handle them to which include accepting the blame, stop condemning yourself, don’t magnify the problem, encourage yourself and cling to Christ in all situation.
District Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Revival Centre District, Lagos State, Pastor Barrister Benjamin Oyebanji while ministering said as workers we hold or shake our leader’s ladder either by our actions or inactions but the truth unknown to many workers is the fact that ladder holders or shakers today are ladder climbers tomorrow.
He noted that God wants us to be a ladder holder all through our stewardship seasons within his church.
In attendance were the choir members, Ushers, Sundays School teachers, Deaconesses, elders Evangelists Pastors and other dignitaries.
