Pastor Olaniran Oladipupo Amaka, from CAC Owo DCC, Ondo State, while delivering his lecture on the topic "Effectiveness and Purpose of Growth in the Grace and Knowledge of God as a Church worker" culled from 1 Timothy 4:12-16, explained effectiveness as capacity or potential that must be possessed to achieve result.

In his definition of terms, Pastor Amaka described purpose as an intention, aim or something intended to be achieved; growth as an increase in size, value or strength; grace as human unwarranted divine assistance by God; and church workers as those who perform one activity or the other in the congregation of God’s Children.

He affirmed that certain qualities must manifest in the lives of church workers in order for their growth to be effective in the grace and knowledge of God, such as, Willingness (John 3:16, Isaiah 1:19), Obedience to God instruction, and Commitment (putting on efforts) to grow (Ezra 7:10).

The cleric emphasized on the purposes of growth as, to produce the expected result in the house of God; For peaceful co-existence among members (Psalm 133, Hebrew 12:14); That workers may become exemplary and the work of God will be done effectively.

Delivering the second lecture titled "Sustaining Moral and Physical Growth in time like this", the Guest Speaker, Reverend Olufemi Abiona stated that the secret of Growth is in knowing who God is (Dan 11:32).

Describing man as a tripartite being, that is, one who is a Spirit, has soul and lives in a body, Rev. Abiona pointed out that God Himself is Spirit (John 4:24), explaining that the soul is what connects the spirit to the body and through the spirit, man relates with the spirit world.

He then identified the need for spiritual, moral and physical growth for maturity as growth is not negotiable in this end times.

The areas of growth, according to the clergyman, is personal devotion to God in prayer, studying the word of God, growth in our commitment to Kingdom service because we ought to be vessels unto honour in the house of God, growth in inter-personal relationship among brethren and contribution towards the community and also attitude towards our spiritual father in the church.

Rev. Abiona further enumerated the various ways to sustain growth in time like this, to include, "Church workers must dare to be different, Love not the world and things that in the world, Live a submitted life, be vigilant and never allow Satan to take advantage (1st Peter 5:8)."
