"The earlier you discover God's purpose for your life, the faster it is to your destination," was one of the major highlights of an enlightening, motivating and impactful lecture on the topic "Apostolic Youths: Purpose Driven Youths" delivered by the Associate Pastor, Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole, Agbowo, English Assembly, Ibadan, Pastor Dr. Peter Olarenwaju.
Pastor Olarenwaju who served as the Secretary, Planning Committee for CACYOF 2022 Academic Summit, gave these insights on Thursday, 25th August, 2022 at the ongoing Ikeji 1 Youth Conference holding at Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp Ground, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
The cleric told Christ Apostolic Church youths that, "you have a purpose of God for your life," stating that, "your usefulness to God and humanity lies in your discovery of the purpose of God for your life."
Explaining the need to be recreated in Christ Jesus to discover God's purpose for your life, the Academic Scholar said that, "Apostolic youths are purpose driven like Jesus. They are recreated in Christ Jesus to discover and do the predetermined work."
The Central Administrator, Foundation for Student Mission (FSM), clarified that certain factors like future, passion, success, popularity, prosperity, profession, may be misinterpreted as identifiers of purpose; expressing that "the Purpose of God for you must be discovered, developed and deployed, otherwise your significance and usefulness to God and humanity will be limited."
Expositing to the youths on purpose discovery, Dr. Olarenwaju harped the need for service without looking for gain, adding that "you need to find your future in the scripture."
"God's word is by revelation. The Bible is the purpose manual," he said.
Continuing on purpose discovery, he told the youthful congregation that, prophecies received by parents, God-driven circumstances, position as platform, encounters like Paul, gifts and abilities of a regenerated life are markers and pointers of discovering purpose.
Describing that "one of the things that distinguishes Apostolic youths from others is that they are purpose driven," Pastor Olarenwaju highlighted the lifestyle of purpose-driven youths, "God-conscious lifestyle, God's will conscious lifestyle, timeliness lifestyle; they are kingdom driven; committed to doing more; driven by the Holy Spirit; and they want to finish strong."
According to the cleric, "God is ready to raise Apostolic youths, but you must be ready to live a purpose driven life."
"God is committed to revealing His purpose to people," Pastor Olarenwaju assured.
