The Director of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor S. O. Gbuyiro has revealed why Christ Apostolic Church youths, particularly the female gender, would not dress provocatively like others do.
The CAC Youth Director noted that, "in Christ Apostolic Church, why our sisters and women must not dress like other women outside is not because of anything but because we are Christ Apostolics."
"The reason why we are doing what we do is because we are Apostolics. When people saw the Apostles of Jesus, they called them Christians," he said.
Pastor Gbuyiro noted this on Thursday, 4th July, 2022 at CAC Oke Isegun, Babajide Regional Headquarters, Odo-Owa, Kwara State during the ongoing CACYOF 2022 International Youth Conference and Thanksgiving Celebration.
The Youth Director who exposited how God clothed Adam and Eve at the beginning, described their covering as revealing the glory of God, adding that, as it was in the beginning so shall it be this day.
Speaking to the youths, the cleric capitally emphasized that the purpose of dressing for a child of God is to reveal the glory of God.
Leading the youths to repeatedly echo that, "our living on earth is to represent God. Our motto for living is thy will be done on earth, the Director of Youth Affairs expressed that, it is not good enough to have haircut like persons in the garage or touts, "because whatever we do, we must reveal the glory of God."
According to him, "the best thing Adam and Eve could think of to cover their nakedness was to look for something temporal. But when God stepped into that scene, he killed an animal and gave them the skin of that animal to cover their nakedness."
Rhetorizing how long the leaves would last on Adam and Eve, the clergyman harped that every beauty enhancement are mere leaves which would not last.
"To Adam and Eve, the topic of nakedness is a physical thing, but to God it's a spiritual thing. What led man to nakedness was a spiritual matter. That animal that was killed is Jesus - the only solution to the nakedness of man. When you now put on Jesus, you are revealing the glory of God," said Pastor Gbuyiro.
