It was an amazing gathering of children and teenagers as CAC Amuwo Odofin DCC held her 2022 Children's camp on Friday 9th September through Saturday, 10th September, 2022.
The program kicked off with Opening prayer by the DCC Sunday School Coordinator and District Superintendent of CAC Spring of Life District, Pastor Oluwatuyi.
The Superintendent, CAC Amuwo Odofin DCC, Pastor Joe Jacobs in his opening speech, appreciated the children teachers at the DCC, District and Assembly levels, commending the children for being obedient to the call to moments of empowerment.
Pastor Joe Jacobs listed four important points that the children must know and have as a guide.
"God who created those who are very old now is the same God that has created children and He has given them time to fulfill purpose. God has created you and given you a purpose in life. You must make best use of your time now so you won’t regret in the future."
He continued that, "salvation is very important, we must give our lives to Jesus and volunteer to work for Jesus and then speak to others about Jesus to win their souls for Him."
"Jesus did not place a small premium on children, he placed them on very high value because the kingdom of God belongs. Children have angels that watch over them and they should not sin so as not to send those angels away," he said.
"In Leviticus 27 verses 5 and 6, we read about the value that God places on children and how they are valued higher than even adults, because of their glorious future," the cleric added.
Pastor Joe Jacobs went ahead to pray for all the children teachers present as the camp came to a close with various activities that gave the children a wonderful experience.
