The 2022 International Youth Conference and Thanksgiving Celebration, Ikeji II Conference Center, comprising Lagos and Ogun States, began on the eve of Wednesday, 31st August, 2022 with a massive turnout of Christ Apostolic Church youths at CAC Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
The Opening Session marked with praise, thanksgiving and testimony sessions, saw the hands of the youths lifted in the air in heartfelt prayers to God.
The newly appointed Chairman, Youth Advisory Committee, Pastor M. K. Ehinmode, when introduced to the youthful congregation, asserted that, "Men are the pillar of the church, women are the builty of the church and youth are future of the church" as he prayed for the audience.
In his opening message, titled "Why then and not now?" culled from the text, Genesis 28:10-20, 21, the Director of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, introduced that "one of the most unfortunate cases in the Bible records was captured by this passage where God and the host of heaven came down to locate a frustrated man for help that will give him hope and future, but he willfully rejected it."
The CAC Youth Director, who harped that, "God is never satisfied to be the God of the dead, but He is more willing to be the God of the living as well since His programs do not terminate with the dead regardless of their exploits," told the youths that, "all your bills are fully paid when you journey with God and safety is guaranttee even in the midst of storms."
"It will be painful to God that you are not ready for the hope, help and assurance that heaven brings to you. Satan will be happy that you refuse and reject God's offer because it gives him access to your life, to steal, kill and destroy," he said.
Pastor Gbuyiro charged that, "If it doesn't happen now, it can't happen later. If you don't have His time now, He may not have your time later. It may be painful later. If you delay your coming now, your will later become a late comer."
The Regional Coordinator, CACYOF Essien Region, Pastor Remi Adeyemi, led the youths to a deep prayer session, making emphasis on connecting to the blessings of fathers.
