History was made on Saturday, October 15 2022 as Christ Apostolic Church, Adeyanju District, Lafenwa Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Abeokuta was inaugurated and Pastor M.A. Sokunbi inducted as the pioneer District Superintendent.
It was a memorable day of unmeasurable joy and celebration as family, friends and well wishers of the District and Pastor Sokunbi appreciated God for the new feat.
The inauguration and induction service was conducted by the DCC Superintendent of Lafenwa DCC, Pastor I.K. Oluwatusin, who represented the Church Authority.
At the service, new Elders and Deaconesses were also appointed by laying of hands which was also done by Lafenwa DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oluwatusin.
While ministering at the programme on the topic "don't allow anyone to pull you down," the Superintendent of CAC Lafenwa DCC, Pastor I.K. Oluwatusin told the congregation that so many people are attached to them for liberation, if they fall those people will also fall, saying that they must be focused so as to be fruitful alongside everyone attached to them.
The Cleric noted that there may be affliction and persecution that may try to sweep one's feet off the ground, explaining that is the time one need to stick closer to the Word of God and His promises.
"Follow your mentor, Jesus Christ" he said as he advice the newly inducted District Superintendent not to allow anyone to discourage him, noting that he shouldn't be deceived by anyone, he needs to be more focused and encouraged.
According to him;"God is a rewarder of those who serve him without wavering. Trust in the Lord, continue to keep his commandment, then blessing and prosperity would follow."
The Lafenwa DCC Superintendent Charged all newly appointed Elders and Deaconesses to fully support the newly inducted District Superintendent and be available whenever they are needed without being deceitful.
The district inauguration committee presented a certificate of commendation and a merit award of excellent to the Workers and Ministers of God who put in their best to the contribution of the church.
The service ended with presentation of gifts to the newly inducted Superintendent and special thanksgiving session.
