The maiden edition of the programme "King of the Whole Universe" organized by CAC Ijebu Igbo DCC held on Saturday, 1st of October, 2022 at the CAC Ijebu Igbo DCC Headquarters, Ogun State, Nigeria.
In his welcome address, the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Joshua S. Adefila, glorified the name of God in the lives of everyone present as well as the ministers of God, charging the congregation to hold on to their faith because their shall be miracles, signs and wonders and outpouring of the Holy Spirit like the days of our fathers.
The Zonal Superintendent, Zalem Zone, Pastor Daniel Olorunfunmi, while opening the programme, tagged it 'Passover' as it was a day of dominion and freedom since it coincided with Nigeria's Independence Day.
Pastor Olorunfunmi further explained that, Passover means dominion, setting free, taking over, setting-free, jubilation and celebration.
Prophet Olu Tope Adeyemo of Ikoyi Mountain, in his message, harped on the need for people to have Jesus in their lives.
Speaking from Matthew 11:28-30 and Matthew 3:17, the cleric identified that many do not know the person of Jesus, and cannot boldly say few things Him, furthering that "a life without Jesus has no rest, is in bondage of sin, cannot see God and cannot enjoy divine blessings and protection. Jesus is only one that can set lives free because he is the saviour and deliverer; He is ready to accept anyone that is willing to forsake his sins with a very good example of the life of Zacchaeus, the task collector."
Concluding his message, he said "come back to Jesus, let him recognize you, sharpen your faith, rekindle the fire in your heart and you will enjoy Jesus both on earth and in heaven."
The programme was characterized by prayers made on water brought by the congregants, connoting the significance of the faith of the fathers of the church in God's healing through the use of water.
As many signs and miracles were wrought during the programme, its end witnessed many souls won while others rededicated lives to the service and kingdom of God.
The next edition of the programme will hold on the 1st Saturday of December, 2022.
