Christ Apostolic Church, Peaceland District headquarters, Odi-Olowo Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos celebrated her 20th adult harvest thanksgiving on Sunday November, 20 2022 at the church auditorium.
It was indeed a happy moment as everyone present was filled with a heart of praises to God Almighty for His unending love over the church.
The service which was in conjunction with the church's pentecostal sunday commenced with praise and worship session by the Choir, after which the District Superintendent, Pastor F.A Oke (JP) introduced the ministers of God present and special guest.
While speaking on the topic, "Harvest of all-round Growth" which has the text taken from 2nd Peter 3:18, the District Superintendent of CAC House of blessings District, Pastor A.B.C. komolafe who represented the DCC Superintendent, Odi-Owo DCC, Pastor J.T Oyeyemi said that harvest is a period when we reap all we have planted.
He further highlighted things to know before harvest can happen, saying that; "seed must be planted before it could be harvested, one must plant on the right and a good land so as to attain the right growth (Mathew 13:3-9), if you plant anything without considering the land you may not reap anything and the amount sowed is the amount harvested" (Galatians 6:7 ; 2 corinthians 9:6).
Talking about growth, the Clergyman said any people in the church today are just counting the number of years spent in the church, meanwhile they are not growing.
According to him, there are partial growth and also total growth, saying that no one grows without the grace of God.
He further said that growth will not be possible without having the knowledge of God.
Pastor Komolafe said before growth can happen, we must sow, without sowing, we cannot harvest, emphasizing that we must sow our lives into the salvation of Christ (John 1:16).
He further depicted that accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is not all, one need to grow in the knowledge of God because the knowledge of God will direct one everyday.
Award of honour was given to the District Superintendent of Peaceland District, Pastor F.A Oke (JP) and his wife at the programme.
