As part of the social activities of the 41st Convocation Ceremonies of the Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Main Campus, Opa, Ile Ife, a Banquet and Award Night was held for the graduating students on Wednesday, 23rd November, 2022.
Wearing the same robes along with their spouses, the night featured music ministrations, testimonies and award presentations to best students of certain courses, individual award presentations and department presentation of awards.
In his sermon, the Deputy Provost of the Seminary, Pastor Dr. M. O. A. Oluwaniyi speaking on "When your Ziklag is in trouble" from 1 Samuel 30:6, counselled the graduating students that "there will be times of distress, persecution in your ziklag, don't go occultic, encourage yourself in the Lord your God."
Stating that "you can't be in charge without God's power," the cleric expressed that, "God will only invite you to give the account of souls He gave you. He wouldn't require of you the account of souls her hasn't given you."
Expositing the text and relating David's experience, Pastor Oluwaniyi declared that, "If you don't want to expire in ministry, learn how to inquire from the Lord."
In his closing remarks, the Provost of the school, Pastor Prof. Christopher Olubunmi Oshun had encouraged the graduating students to be of good character as they were trained during their stay in school, urging them to look forward to the grand finale of the convocation where more instructions would be given.
