The Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Living Sanctuary Assembly, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Pastor Remi Adeyemi has said that being a tithe and offering payer, or worker in God's vineyard doesn't mean Christ know the person.
He noted that serving God has nothing to do with being punctual or being a worker in church, but it's about registering your name with Jesus in the book of life.
Pastor Adeyemi stated this on Wednesday November 16, 2022 while ministering on the topic "The Great Deliverer" at the day one of 2022 edition of Mighty God Revival organised by CAC Living Sanctuary, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
Taking his text from Exodus 3:7-8 and Exodus 8:1, Pastor Adeyemi who is the Regional Youth Coordinator of Essien Region described Pharaoh as a stubborn pursuer who doesn't want to release his captives, noting that the Israelites got their deliverance in order to serve God.
According to him, God is not going to deliver just for fun, the reason God will make the blind man to see, lame to walk etc. is because He wants them to serve Him.
Speaking on what it means to serve God, the Clergyman said; "it is about registering your name with Jesus in the book of life. No matter how you have been going to church, if you're not one of His people, He doesn't recognize your service. Your service is in vein. A lot of people are paying tithes and offering in church, but they will still end in hell fire. Some are singers and some even minister on the altar, but God doesn't know them. They have no name with Him. When Lazarus died, Angels carried him, but the name of the rich man was not mentioned. Lazarus was poor but he had his name with God, but the rich had no name with Him."
To the glory of God and joy of heaven, many gave their lives to Christ when altar call was made by Pastor Adeyemi. The DCC Superintendent of Ijebu DCC, Pastor Gabriel Oladosu Alagbe prayed for them.
The annual programme which has been the new identity of Ijebu-Ode continues today at Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State by 5pm.
