"The object of the good tidings of Christ Jesus expressed in Luke 2:10 is Christ Jesus," said the Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Mount of Comfort, Soyoye, Abeokuta, Pastor Festus A. Oyebade.
Sermonizing the congregation at the Christmas celebration and combined Church Service of CAC Mount of Comfort and Mount of Blessing in Abeokuta, the cleric harped on the great news of joy that has befalled humanity as announced by angels.
While speaking on the topic, "The Great News of Joy" culled from Luke 2:10-11, Pastor Oyebade stated that angels announced the first news of joy which is the birth of Jesus; relating from Revelation 14:6 that in the self same way, angels would also announce the second news, which is the second coming of Jesus.
The clergyman also expressed that the prophecies of the Old Testament scriptures have been fulfilled in the New Testament, adding that the great news of joy is already fulfilled today.
Pastor Oyebade urged the congregation and all and sundry, to rejoice in the light of the Christmas season, while reflecting the reason for the season.
