As part of the 3-point agenda of the present administration in Christ Apostolic Church which include training and development of the vast human capital of the church, the church authority commenced Pastors Leadership Retreat (Stream II) for District Superintendents.
The Stream I of the training programme was organised last year for the Principal Officers of the Church, Regional Superintendents and DCC & Zonal Superintendents.
The first batch of Stream II, organised for District Superintendents commenced on Monday January 16 and end on Thursday January 19, 2023 at Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp (BMIMC), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State and participants comprised Akinyele, Essien and Sophia-Ajayi Regions.
While giving the president's address, the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele urged participants to apply the wisdom gained from the training to make CAC productive, relevant and the pride of our Lord Jesus Christ who owns the Church.
He noted that one of the tools of organisational growth is training, saying that Jesus called to Himself those who He wanted to be with Him and taught them.
Pastor Oladele who was represented by the General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur told the District Superintendents that they are expected to conduct God's business as business indeed, adding that the disciples were teachable men.
"Without prejudice to our rich and enviable pedigrees as individuals and as a Church, there is a need for us to gather new skills and competencies that will enable us do God's business profitably and creditably too (Matthew 25:20-23). Furthermore, we hope to establish a "Productivity-based" reward system where clear, objective and measurable Performance Indices will be applied. The CAC Leadership Academy was inaugurated on December 29, 2021 to facilitate this and other trainings. The faculty comprises subject experts who are not only grounded in their areas of expertise but are children of God too.
"It is our firm belief that the experience gained in this training will help us to make Christ Apostolic Church more productive and prepare us for the revival that we all hope and pray for. To the Glory of God about one thousand personnel of the Church have been trained by the CAC Leadership Academy including my humble self and other principal officers, Regional Superintendents, DCC/Zonal Superintendents as well as heads of fellowships and departments of the Church. We hope to make it a continuous development program and request your support and co-operation to make it successful," he said.
