The Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Pearce Region, Pastor S.O. Aluko has urged Ministers of God not to invite unbelievers for fundraising for the Church of God.
He noted that there are some monies that come to the church that the ministry should reject, saying that God is not interested in your money until He has access to your heart.
Pastor Aluko stated this last Friday while giving fatherly charge at the Apostolic Fire Conference organised by CAC The Worship Centre, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
He further said that "our offering and tithes are enough to sponsor what God has given unto us not what we want to do. There is a difference between what God has committed us to do and what we think others are doing that we want to do."
Speaking on misconception about ministry, Pastor Aluko said the ministry must be properly defined so that we don't begin to do the auxiliaries at the expense of the real thing.
"Many are doing things that are not part of the ministry. Many people are doing things God never asked them to do. We need to revisit the meaning of ministry from the perspective of the Owner, Jesus Christ. Ministry is given, not earned. You're given a portion of the whole thing. Ministry is about teaching people about Jesus Christ and making them disciples of Jesus, not for yourself. There are Pastors who want the people to know them, not Jesus Christ," he said.
