The stage is set for the long awaited National Praise programme organised by Christ Apostolic Church, holding at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
At the programme which holds today Friday January 13, 2023, renowned and internationally recognized Gospel singers such as Bob Fitts, Frank Edward, Pastor J.A. Adelakun (Ayewa), Evang. (Dr.) Bola Are, Bukola Akinade (Sewele Jesu), Bidemi Olaoba and Aduke Gold will minister.
Also ministering at the concert are Shola Allyson, Glorious Adebayo, Titi Aremu, Alice Ariyo, Harmony Brass Band and The Lord's Trumpeters (2,500 Trumpeters).
Speaking about the programme at the premises of Radio Lagos and Lagos Television, Agidingbi, Ikeja where he met with media representatives to speak on the event, the General Evangelist of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji the National Praise programme was part of God’s plans to intervene in the affairs of the country.
Prophet Hezekiah who also took the advantage of his presence to appear on a live broadcast Ojutaye on Radio Lagos told Lagosians to prepare themselves to be part of the great event and see what God would do thereafter.
He explained that beyond the Abuja Praise that was held in September 2022, the Lagos Praise Festival has added some other effects like bringing along an American Singer Bob Fitts who has arrived Nigeria with his family.
“That is part of the Lord’s doing. Fitts is a very busy man, we informed him in December and he had to cancel all programmes to make sure that he is part of the event.”
Another significant feature mentioned by Prophet Hezekiah was the appearance and ministration of 2,500 trumpeters who will raise their instrument to worship God.
“I have seen them, I have listened to them and I know what they can do. There is no way they would minister that you would not feel the presence of God.
“I have worked with 50 trumpeters, I have worked with 100, I have worked with 500 and 1000, and I feel we should go for 2,500.”
Prophet Hezekiah also took time to answer questions on what impacts the National Praise would have on Nigeria.
“The National Praise is to show our appreciation to God for all He has been doing for the country. I want us to know that God has been merciful to us as a people. Despite all we see all around us we can still say, God loves Nigeria.
“God has kept this country as one. Our climate is very friendly unlike that of many other countries. The National Praise is purposely to thank God for this country, and after the programme we will wait for what God will do.”
He added that in a time like this what Nigeria needed most is God.
“If God arises all the confrontations and challenges we have as a people will disappear. We have seen in the scripture how God chose singers to war. God does His own thing mysteriously. We are sure that by the end of the programme Nigeria will have victory over her battles and challenges.”
On the State of the Nation, Prophet Oladeji called on Nigerians to commit the nation into God’s hand saying “God owns Nigeria and He knows where to appear to Nigeria. We are going to gather to praise Him for what He will do.”
The General Evangelist who took turns to take some questions from probing reporters shared part of his testimonies of his growing years and what brought him to Christ called on the Nigerian youths not to sell their future in the coming elections.
“Youths, don’t sell your future, don’t act as thugs to politicians, if you are wounded politicians will not engage you. Protect your future.”
Prophet Hezekiah was accompanied by Prophet Kayode Adio, a member of CAC Evangelical Team and other members of his crew.
The National Praise event according to Prophet Hezekiah was inspired by God and it would be held at four centres specifically requested by Him, and these are in Abuja which has been held, the second in Lagos, the third in Ikeji Arakeji and the last and the grand finale would he held in Garage Olode, the headquarters of his local CAC Canaanland Church.
