Sunday, March 26, 2023 was a day of celebrating Christian indelible heritage at the 35th anniversary thanksgiving service of Christ Apostolic Church, Mount of Transfiguration, Transfiguration Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ajuwon, Ogun State.

The anniversary which started with four days open air crusade programme from Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th of March, 2023 at Ifako Ijaiye Stadium, Agege ended with thanksgiving service at Transfiguration DCC headquarters in Ajuwon, Ogun State with principal officers of the church and other notable figures in attendance.

Principal Officers of the church in attendance are, the President of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele and his wife, Mrs. Susanna Oladele; General Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi (the host) and his wife, Mrs. Marian Odejobi; General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur and his wife, Mrs. Fidelia Mapur; Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Omitinde and Missions Director, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi and his wife, Mrs. J.T. Fasuyi. The General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji was unavoidably absent.

The congregation was blessed with the ministration of DCC Choir and Good Women Choir.

The President of the church, Pastor Oladele while ministering on the topic "But we preached Christ Crucified" with text, 1st Cor. 1 vs 18-22, said Apostle Paul was a man of tremendous personality, saying that, if he lives among us today he will be among the best.

He further said that Apostle Paul possessed a large measure of credentials that could be very intimidating, which according to him are, being a Jew by birth, being a greek by education, and having a very thriving business (a tent maker) and was a Roman citizen, adding that to be a Roman citizen then is comparable to being an American today.

Pastor Oladele stated that when it comes to the heritage of this world, Apostle Paul had it all, but they meant nothing to him, noting that the glory of education, politics and power meant nothing without Christ.

"You are not enlightened or educated until you come to the cross. It is when you get to the cross that you will have the light to see. It pleases many to come to church than to come to Jesus Christ. Jesus asked us to come to Him, not church. We can not forsake the assembly of one another, but we have to come to Christ first," the President said.

He urged the congregation to always come to Christ as a learner, not with the mentality of being a famous person in the society, rich or educated.

"When we come to church, we are sinners who are in need of salvation of God. The axe of God must fall on any soul that will go to heaven. Until the axe of God falls on you, you are not fit for the kingdom. You must be straightened using the word of God irrespective of your riches, education , influence or affluence. If the Bible says 'woe unto you', it is so. It can't be bent," Pastor Oladele said.

In his welcome speech, based on the theme of the anniversary, "Christian Indelible Heritage", the General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Odejobi said the heritage acquired with agony by the Lord Jesus Christ from mental, physical, spiritual torture and denied justice, generously given to His church, is what Christians are ignorant of, while some do not believe.

He also said that Christians have allowed the circumstances of life to rob them off the efficacy in them or rejected them for Satan's throes and threats.

According to him, the heritage are the Word of Jesus, the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus and the Spirit of Jesus.

Pastor Odejobi stated that many Christians are living but oblivious of the heritage the Lord left for them before He parted from the world, which are all we need to live, survive, be victorious and be a testimony to the goodness and greatness of God.

The programme also had in attendance the Regional Superintendent of Akilling Region, Pastor E.A. Olusoko and other DCC/Zonal Superintendents of the church. Pastor I.O. Onibaba is the DCC Superintendent of Transfiguration DCC.
