Fasuyi, was dedicated by the President of the church, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele.
It would be recalled that the foundation of the Senate Building was laid almost two years ago, on Wednesday May 19, 2021 precisely by CAC President.
The magnificent project is a multi-million naira two-storey building that incorporates the Council Chamber, Senate Chamber, Vice Chancellory, the Registry Division, Bursary Department and Audit Department etc.
The service had in attendance all the Principal Officers of the church: the President, Pastor Oladele, General Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde and the donor and his wife, Pastor and Deaconess Caxton S. Fasuyi. Also in attendance are Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, JABU, Pastor/Prof. A.M.A. Imevbore, Vice Chancellor of JABU, Prof. Olasebikan A. Fakolujo, all the Regional Superintendents of the church and many others.
While giving word of exhortation, the Regional Superintendent of CAC Anosike Region, Pastor Simeon Oladokun said every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
He noted that God created man in His image in order for man to build for Him, noting that the building was built by the donor not to display his honour or to proclaim personal fame.
According to him, the donor was able to build the building for God as a result of what God has done for him and his family.
Pastor Oladokun prayed that God will continue to bless the donor and his family in Jesus name.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor of JABU, Prof. Fakolujo said the need for a bofitting Senate Building has occupied the prayers of the University for a very long time; as Senate building remain a focal point of attraction in any university.
Prof. Fakolujo further said that the journey to this great edifice, started about two years ago when the Vice Chairman of Council, Pastor Fasuyi decided in his philanthropic and benevolent disposition to build the multimillion naira edifice.
"The donor, though a member of the implementation committee of our dear University, has consistently shown love for the progress and sustenance of the University. His belief in the success of the University has remained unwavering and unparalleled. He remained a pillar of support, a shoulder to lean on when it matters. Donating this magnificent edifice at this particular time is praiseworthy. The gesture is dear to us, as University staff and students. It is our prayer that God in His infinite mercy shall reward your labour of love with immense blessings as no one partners with God and have any regret.
"You are indeed a great blessing to the body of Christ and particularly, Christ Apostolic Church and humanity at large. You have earned yourself a golden space in the history of this great University. May God reward your sacrifice and labour with bountiful blessings and grant you all the desires of your heart in Jesus Christ's name," Prof. Fakolujo stated.
The donor, Pastor Fasuyi in his speech quoted John chapter 3 verse 27 which says '...a man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.'
He stated that God always minister to him anytime He wants them to do something in the institution and those things are things they don't have the power to do.
"The Holy Spirit told me on a particular day when we were having a meeting that I and my wife should build the Senate Building for the school. I shared the vision with Prof. Imevbore and he said "it is accomplished already."
He revealed that he hasn't been able to attend governing council meeting recently because of the fear of finishing the project, thanking God for the accomplishment of the project.
Pastor Fasuyi appreciated the late CAC President, Pastor E.H.L. Olusheye, immediate past President, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun, present President, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, JABU, Pastor/Prof. A.M.A. Imevbore and many others for their support over the years to his life, family and accomplishment of the project.
